Now it\u2019s the 14th\u00a0leading cause of mortality in the participating hospitals.\u00a0Hospitals also reported improvements in patient safety and satisfaction.<\/p>\n
Leapfrog\u2019s\u00a0Leah Binder<\/a>\u00a0says in the last decade the healthcare industry has made real strides in figuring out the best ways to treat certain conditions.\u00a0The trouble, she says, is that it can be hard to get hospitals and staff to implement the new protocols.<\/p>\n“To get everybody to follow the rules actually takes a lot of effort and energy. And unfortunately, sometimes organizations don\u2019t invest in that kind of attention and that\u2019s the problem,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n
